APMA National Workshop tour 2011
"Feet First"
Penny Latey turns Pilates on its head to address Feet - admittedly not the most glamorous part of the body - however a part of the anatomy that is largely taken for granted until something goes wrong. As Pilates practitioners we often see feet that are neglected, injured, genetically compromised or just "not quite right". Luckily for us, feet are Penny's passion! She has spent several years researching poor "foot posture" in relation to poor body posture whereby dysfunctional foot biomechanics can lead to a myriad of compensatory patterns.
This workshop has a practical emphasis and will demonstrate how Pilates can re-educate clients to appreciate their feet and assist with rectifying foot pathologies, genetic traits and injuries within the Pilates context.
